Launched from May 2008, it differs from Collette's regular tours in the following that there are a maximum of 16-24 passengers, the holidays offer unique and individual accommodations, dining experiences give new meaning to ‘local flavour’, and there is a chance to learn more about the destinations through authentic experiences.
What makes Explorations particularly special is that it combines the benefits of group travel with the freedom to pursue individual experiences, offering you the best of both worlds.

As with all Collette Worldwide Holidays tours, you still get the services of a Tour Manager and unlike other tour operators, Collette's tour managers are actually employed by them. Treasures of Ankgor Wat & Vietnam – your authentic journey will see you being ridden in a cycle. This pedal cab is a popular method of transport through Asia and will be taking you through the streets of Hoi An, Vietnam, allowing you to experience historic temples and pagodas up close. A cruise along the Mekong Delta river will allow you to see local life first hand as you visit a nearby village.
The Plains of Africa – An evening game drive will take you through Lake Nakuru National Park in search of black and white rhino, leopard and thousands of flamingos. You also get to experience the corealis effect as your journey takes you to the Equator.
